Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all of you! It feels great to be back after a short hiatus from SweetWhimsy. I hope everyone indulged in the things they love over the holidays; I know I did! One of the reasons that I’ve been so busy is that I had the honor to bake the desserts for my best friends engagment party this past Sunday. (Definitely not as busy as her Mom who was cooking for the event ALL night long.) I choose 3 desserts to make: Red velvet truffles, Marbled cupcakes with Cream cheese icing and Sugar cookies with Buttercream icing. I wanted them to look whimsical as always so I got the dessert cards made last minute. This way everyone knew what they were nibbling on and the cards gave it a more professional look. Congrats to the happy couple!

Love love love all the desserts!!! Thanks for all of the baking and help with the party, couldn’t have done it with out you!!!
And the red velvet truffles taste REALLY good when frozen!! I took all of the truffles home and put them in the freezer and snacked on it later when they were cold. So so so so sooooo good!!!
